Training and Education

The core of your policy is the training and education to ensure your people know WHY they should comply with it and HOW to conform to it.  This last part is crucial; they need to be able to calculate when they will be alcohol free and not impaired by drugs so as not to contravene the policy.

Drug and Alcohol Policy Workshop  1 day, up to 14 people - £780

This workshop will enable you to construct a viable and effective policy in just one day.  Ideally you will include everyone with a vested interest in the issues from HR though H&S, Fleet and, if you have them, Unions (UNISON are one of our longest-standing customers).

Drug and Alcohol Awareness for Managers  1 day, 14 people print flyer - £780   

This one-day course will ensure that your managers have the information and skills to deal with drug and alcohol issues in the workplace in line with your policy with confidence and competence.

Field Impairment Testing training  1 day, min 5 - max 8 people  - £160 per person

We train your managers to administer Field Impairment Testing to your employees, and in particularly drivers, to ensure they are FIT for work and specifically to drive and operate machinery.  The 5 tests have been available to Police Services since 2003 to ascertain the degree of impairment in drivers.  This is a Certificated course.

Drink and Drug Drive Avoidance for Drivers  half-day, 14 people, a.m. or p.m. - £420 

A half-day will improve participants' knowledge and understanding about the effects of drugs and alcohol on driving ability.  It will make sure that your people know HOW to comply with the company’s drug & alcohol policy, report for, and remain 'alcohol free and not impaired through drugs' at work and assist the company in complying with relevant H&S legislation. The course includes a pre and post questionnaire thereby giving you an audit trail.
 

DVD Facilitators Course  half-day, 14 people, a.m. or p.m. - £420

This course will ensure that your people get the best from the DVD package even if they are not accustomed to 'teaching' a group.  they will have the opportunity to run segments of the DVD and practice encouraging others to participate.

Display half or part day £420 or full day £780

We bring our display plus personnel to manage it and engage your people in simple but essential questions, we then feed the results of this survey back to you with recommendations for future action.  The display is best sited in a common area - at BA we did it in the atrium where cabin crew pass on their way to their aircraft, at the recent Brake conference, in the foyer.

Courses are at your premises, you provide training room, refreshments and candidates. The only extra is the tutor's expenses from Reading.
